The train and the platform
In the plush AC compartment, the infant cried out.
“There, there” said the mother, as she soothed it. The baby quieted down and fell asleep in its mother arms.
Outside, on the platform, the beggar woman's infant cried out.
“There, there” said the mother. The baby quieted down and fell asleep in its mother arms.
Brilliant. Simply brilliant.

ReplyDeleteThis sort of writing is also called flash fiction no? I loved it! I've generally loved every piece of flash fiction I've read. I could never do it because I write/talk too much. But I appreciate others who are able to write supershort stories :D
ReplyDeleteThanks
